Jihye Kim, Ph.D is an assistant professor of educational research at Kennesaw State University. She earned her Ph.D. in research, measurement, and statistics from the Department of Educational Policy Study at Georgia State University and statistics degree of her master and bachelor program. Prior to joining KSU, Dr. Kim was a statistical analyst at American Cancer Society after two years’ IES post-doctoral fellowship at Georgia State University. As a quantitative methodologist, Dr. Kim has participated in several research projects: behavioral and emotional risk screening research, mental health screening, relationship between tobacco use and educational attainment, etc. Her current research interest lies in evaluating survey instruments’ validity and reliability in order to provide an accurate identification of emotional and behavioral risk in middle and high school students. Also, she is interested in examining measurement invariance of depression scales.
